Pokémon TCG League Cup Tournaments

Pokémon TCG League Cup tournaments are back in the 2023 Championship Series season! These events are a step up from League Challenge competitions, featuring an increased Championship Point payout and giving players more opportunities to test their skills in preparation for larger events.

In order to participate, players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account, be in good standing with the Play! Pokémon program, and comply with current COVID-19 requirements for in-store Pokémon events.

Players need to bring their own legal 60-card deck. Registration for these events is handled by the local Tournament Organizer of a Play! Pokémon Store, and an entry fee may be charged at their discretion. Similar to other League events, special promotions including exclusive playmats, Prize Packs, or sticker sheets may be on offer. Check with your local Play! Pokémon retailer for availability and distribution. Please check the Event Locator for details about each event, including information regarding registration.

Remember, while we frequently update our events schedule, we recommend that you contact the local Tournament Organizer to confirm event schedule information.

Pokémon TCG Cups

At some events, like Regional Championships, Pokémon TCG Cups will take place. These events will have the same Championship Point awards as a League Cup and be included in the same Best Finish Limit, but will not distribute promo cards, playmats, or other League-exclusive prizes typically found at a League Cup.
